About the Role
Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least 2 years of experience working in a U.S. medical or dental office.
- Speaks and writes excellent English with a neutral, professional communication style.
- Is exceptionally detail-oriented and notices things that others miss.
- Has outstanding phone etiquette and enjoys speaking with patients.
- Is highly organized and can successfully manage multiple tasks at the same time.
- Is resourceful and researches answers before asking for help.
- Follows instructions carefully and consistently.
- Learns new software and systems quickly.
- Is comfortable working independently while also being part of a team.
- Takes ownership of responsibilities and follows tasks through to completion.
- Is dependable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Maintains patient confidentiality and understands the importance of HIPAA.
- Is proficient with Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive).
- Has experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR). Experience with AdvancedMD is a plus but not required.
- Has a reliable computer, a professional home office, and high-speed internet (minimum 100 Mbps download speed).
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
- Medical referrals
- Medical records
- Patient scheduling
- Prior authorizations
- Insurance terminology
- Virtual medical practices
- Ophthalmology, optometry, dermatology, plastic surgery, aesthetics, or dental practices
Schedule
Full-Time
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Time
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Eastern Time
- One-hour unpaid lunch break
What Success Looks Like
At the end of each day:
- All patient-related administrative tasks have been completed.
- Email s have been reviewed and actioned.
- Patient inquiries have been responded to professionally.
- Charts and documents have been uploaded and organized.
- Referrals and medical records requests have been completed or documented with a clear next step.
- Nothing important has fallen through the cracks.
