About the Role

Cloud9 is looking for an experienced E-Commerce Bookkeeper to manage the books for three companies—two Shopify e-commerce brands and one influencer marketing agency.

This is an ongoing hourly position, not a salaried or fixed monthly role. We're looking for someone whose expertise is bookkeeping—not operations or purchasing.

If you have extensive experience with QuickBooks Online, enjoy keeping financial records clean and accurate, and have proven experience working with Shopify businesses, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Accurately categorize transactions
Complete monthly closing procedures
Prepare Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports
Reconcile Shopify payouts, payment fees, refunds, and chargebacks
Perform catch-up bookkeeping and cleanup of previous records
Review historical books and identify discrepancies or reconciliation issues
Maintain accurate financial records across three companies
Attend bi-weekly video meetings to review expenses and financial reports
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Daily hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
Proven bookkeeping experience with Shopify or DTC e-commerce brands
Strong understanding of Shopify payout reconciliation
Experience taking over books from previous bookkeepers
Ability to work independently across multiple businesses
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
Reliable, trustworthy, and proactive
