Harvest Advisory Philippines Inc. (HAPI) is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our domestic corporation in the Philippines. We are headquartered in Singapore under Harvest Accounting ( ---------- .sg) and support over 300 Singaporean small businesses in their bookkeeping, accounting, and taxation needs. Currently, we have about 6 Client Managers based in Singapore, and Malaysia and 12 Accountants based in the Philippines.
You'll play a key role in supporting Harvest Accounting in providing exceptional accounting services to our clients.
You must have had a minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant bookkeeping and management accounting experience. Exposure to Singapore companies (FRS and tax law) is a bonus.
The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a cross-cultural environment. You will have regular and independent communication with management, peers in finance, and other functions/business. You will be responsible for bookkeeping and full-set accounts preparation for a portfolio of customers ranging from small business owners to Finance-Admin staff and assist with issues on accounting, GST, tax, payroll, and Xero migration.
Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Work with production tea ---------- mbers to prepare monthly management accounts using Xero cloud accounting ecosystem and its integrated solutions.
- Process operational accounting tasks such as monthly employee expense claims compilation and vendor payment cycles.
- Work with production tea ---------- mbers to prepare workpapers, basic annual unaudited financial statements, and tax computation for simple clients.
- Prepare monthly or quarterly GST submissions for customers.
- Prepare submissions of Estimated Chargeable Income and final tax Form C/S on IRAS portal for basic / simple clients.
- Compute payroll and submission of CPF to CPF Board, submission of annual IR8A and IR21.
- Set up new Xero accounts including migration work, working with Client Managers to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Ensure all timelines and reporting deadlines are adhered to.
- Request basic documentation and respond to routine queries from customers and other stakeholders.
- Ensure good client feedback and customer satisfaction
- Suggest and identify suitable Xero-integrated apps or solutions (point-of-sales, inventory, payments, payroll) for accounting automation.
- Opportunity to progress to a junior reviewer role to review management accountants prepared by junior accountants
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or any related program
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience is required for this position
- Experience in a BPO setting or handling multiple clients is an advantage
- Experience in software like Xero and Dext is preferred
- Must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Must have excellent English communication skills
- Should be meticulous and has a keen attention to detail? ??
- Fast worker and able to handle large workload
- Comfortable with large sets of data to identify variances and classify into various categories
- Must be willing to work Monday to Friday (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM MNL)

Teamwork:
- You will be required to work in a team and complete work assigned by your Manager
- Attend and contribute to weekly workflow meetings.
