Hours: Full-Time | Monday to Friday | EST
About the Role
We are a dynamic and fast-growing company looking for a creative, organized, and dependable Design Assistant to join our team. This is a creative-first role, you'll own our visual presence across our website and social media while also supporting project operations including purchasing, vendor outreach, and invoice follow-up.
The ideal candidate has a background or strong interest in interior design or architecture, an eye for aesthetics, and the drive to grow into the design side of the business. This is a long-term role with a clear path from creative support into design work.
What You'll Do:
Website & Social Media
Keep the Squarespace website current, including project portfolios, imagery, and copy updates
Create, schedule, and manage social media content consistent with the studio's aesthetic
Design Support
Produce light design work such as graphics, client presentations, mood boards, and mockups
Support active projects with design research and visual references
Purchasing & Vendor Outreach
Handle small project purchasing including sourcing products, placing orders, and tracking deliveries
Reach out to vendors for quotes, samples, and order updates, and keep responses organized
Invoicing & Project Administration
Send monthly client invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, and keep records up to date
Keep project files, schedules, and documentation organized and easy to reference
Tools You'll Use:
Canva or Adobe tools — graphics and light design work
Squarespace — website management
Instagram and Pinterest — content management
Google Workspace — Docs, Sheets, Drive
QuickBooks or similar invoicing tools — a plus but not required
What We're Looking For:
Experience or coursework in interior design or architecture is highly preferred
Background in graphic design, social media, or web content
A strong eye for aesthetics and visual consistency
Interest in purchasing and sourcing for design projects
Basic familiarity with invoicing and payment follow-up; accounting experience is not required
Excellent written English for client- and vendor-facing communication
Organized, reliable, and able to own tasks end to end with minimal supervision
