Electrical QS and Business Development VA — FCR Electrical Ltd — UK Electrical Contractor

FCR Electrical Ltd is a fast-growing NICEIC approved, MCS registered, OZEV accredited electrical contractor based in Lancashire, UK. We specialise in solar PV installation, battery storage, EV charging, and electrical compliance work across Lancashire and Greater Manchester. We are expanding rapidly and need a qualified, experienced VA to support our operations manager and director.
This is not a standard VA role. We need someone with a genuine electrical engineering or QS background who understands UK electrical installation, solar PV systems, and can produce accurate, professional quotes and documentation without constant supervision.
What you will be doing:
Producing solar PV proposals using Open Solar from site survey data provided by our director. Preparing EV charger, EICR, rewire, and electrical quotes from our rate card. Maintaining our master pricing schedule and materials costs using live UK supplier pricing. Preparing DNO application packs — G98, G99, G100. MCS documentation and EasyMCS submission preparation. ServiceM8 job management and document preparation. Variation order pricing and documentation. Business development outreach to tier one contractors and framework holders — researching contacts, drafting email s, tracking responses. Framework and tender opportunity research across UK procurement portals.
What we need from you:
Electrical engineering degree or equivalent QS qualification. Experience with solar PV design or electrical contracting administration. Familiarity with UK electrical standards is a strong advantage — BS 7671, MCS, DNO processes. Experience with Open Solar, AutoCAD, or similar design tools preferred. Excellent written English — you will be communicating professionally with UK clients and contractors. Strong attention to detail — quotes and documentation go to customers and must be accurate. Available during UK business hours — 8am to 5pm GMT.
