Experienced Outbound Sales Development Representative

Part-Time or Full-Time | Remote | PezScales

About PezScales

PezScales is a growing AI-native consulting and technology company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. We help home-service contractors across the United States and Canada use AI, automation, and better operating systems to grow revenue, reduce owner dependence, and increase the value of their businesses.

Our clients and prospects primarily include roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, pest-control, construction, and other home-service companies.

We are looking for an experienced Outbound Sales Development Representative to help us grow through cold calling, lead follow-up, prospect nurturing, and appointment setting.

The Role

Your primary responsibility will be to contact home-service business owners, understand their needs, qualify their interest, and schedule qualified sales appointments for our leadership team.

You will primarily speak with roofing-company owners, contractors, and other decision-makers throughout the United States and Canada.

Most of your outreach will involve:

  • Cold calling home-service businesses from targeted prospect lists.
  • Re-engaging previous leads who have gone cold.
  • Nurturing inbound leads who have not yet scheduled a call or purchased.
  • Offering valuable free resources to begin conversations and identify potential needs.
  • Following up consistently until the prospect reaches a clear decision.

This is not a customer-service or general virtual-assistant position. You must be comfortable making outbound calls, handling rejection, speaking directly with business owners, and being measured by results.

What You Will Be Offering

Depending on the prospect’s needs, you will introduce them to one or more of the following:

  • High-ticket consulting packages: Strategic consulting designed to help home-service companies scale, improve operations, reduce owner dependence, and increase enterprise value to sell.
  • Free scaling playbooks: Educational resources that help business owners identify opportunities to improve growth, sales, systems, and operations.
  • Business valuation tool: A resource that helps owners better understand what their company may be worth and which factors could increase or decrease its value.
  • AI automations and workflows: Customized systems that help businesses improve lead response, follow-up, customer communication, sales, reviews, referrals, and internal operations.
  • M&A consulting: Advisory services for owners considering acquisitions, preparing to sell, increasing company value, or navigating other strategic transactions.

You will not be expected to become an expert in every service immediately. We will help provide training, messaging, scripts, and sales resources. However, this is the first time we are hiring a sales representative, so part of your role will be to pioneer sales processes and outbound scripts

Responsibilities

  • Make consistent outbound calls to roofing contractors and other home-service business owners.
  • Speak directly with owners, managers, and key decision-makers.
  • Build rapport and establish credibility quickly.
  • Ask thoughtful questions about each prospect’s business, challenges, and goals.
  • Identify whether the prospect may benefit from consulting, AI automation, business valuation, scaling resources, or M&A advisory.
  • Qualify leads based on need, interest, authority, timing, and business fit.
  • Communicate the value of PezScales clearly and naturally.
  • Offer relevant free resources as a way to begin and nurture sales conversations.
  • Handle initial questions and common objections.
  • Schedule qualified sales appointments with our leadership team.
  • Maintain accurate notes, pipeline stages, and follow-up tasks in GoHighLevel.
  • Follow up with prospects through phone, SMS, and email .
  • Provide feedback that helps improve our offers, scripts, and sales messaging.

Required Qualifications

  • At least three to five years of experience in outbound sales, business development, appointment setting, lead generation, or a closely related role.
  • Proven experience making cold calls and booking qualified appointments.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Clear, professional English pronunciation that is easily understood by business owners in the United States and Canada.
  • Strong listening, questioning, rapport-building, and objection-handling skills.
  • Ability to sound natural rather than reading mechanically from a script.
  • Confidence speaking directly with business owners and senior decision-makers.
  • Reliable internet, a quiet working environment, and a professional headset.
  • Availability during agreed-upon North American business hours.
  • Strong organization, follow-up, and CRM-management skills.

Experience selling high-ticket consulting, SaaS, marketing, AI solutions, financial services, M&A services, or other business-to-business services is preferred.

Previous experience calling roofing contractors, construction companies, home-service businesses, or other small-to-medium-sized business owners is strongly preferred.
