Freelance YouTube Video Editor (Talking-Head Content)

I’m a social media manager working with multiple clients and a small team of editors. I’m looking to add another freelance video editor who is experienced with long-form YouTube content and can produce polished, engaging talking-head videos with minimal supervision.

Right now, the projects are primarily simple talking-head videos. The editing style is clean, professional, and focused on improving clarity, pacing, and viewer retention rather than flashy effects.

Work Volume

Work varies based on client needs and can range from 0–10 videos per week.

Responsibilities

• Edit talking-head YouTube videos by removing mistakes, filler, dead air, and tangents
• Improve pacing while maintaining a natural flow
• Add occasional b-roll or stock footage when it helps illustrate a point
• Add clean text, graphics, or simple visual callouts where appropriate
• Choose copyright-safe background music when needed
• Deliver polished, YouTube-ready videos

• Able to make creative editing decisions without constant direction

• Consistent turnaround times
