Next Generation Tech Lead Needed Now – Industry Disrupting Multi Media Platform

Seeking a growth oriented, hands on, technically competent individual who is driven to learn and ready to step into a technical lead role while architecting and implementing a one of a kind AI driven application. This project uses Postgres with JSONB, pgvector, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3 bucket design, and a retrieval augmented generation pipeline built with tools such as LlamaIndex, Voyager, or similar frameworks.
The role involves leading edge design for chunking and embedding workflows for large documents, building metadata schemas, integrating vector search with structured retrieval logic, and constructing clean pipelines that feed context into large language model endpoints. You will also assist with proper setup and integration of Visual Studio on the client’s development machine, and demonstrate solid practical experience with AWS services and infrastructure.
Being driven to learn — and ideally having direct experience working with Anthropic’s Claude models — is important for this role. This includes structured JSON based instruction design, awareness of JSON vs JSONB behavior, and context driven prompt construction. You must be able to translate high level functional requirements into clear technical tasks, supervise a development team from the ground up, set realistic estimates, track progress against those estimates, and ensure developers deliver within reasonable and agreed upon timeframes.
This includes recognizing legitimate delays or underestimates when they occur, adjusting timelines when appropriate, and firmly addressing situations where work pace or effort does not align with expectations. The role requires someone confident enough to communicate directly with the founder when a developer is not meeting commitments, and strong enough to enforce a disciplined, results driven workflow. You must also administer and strictly enforce Git discipline to ensure code integrity, and deliver a working MVP with solid backend architecture, API endpoints, database structure, and retrieval logic.
This is a hands on position with some development already in progress for a start up that is currently being self funded by a disabled veteran. The initial build period — to push significantly past the MVP stage — will be compensated at a low hourly rate, with the understanding that substantial financial growth, long term involvement, and possible share ownership are available as the project moves into full launch and funding.
