QGIS Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented GIS Specialist to support mapping, geospatial analysis, and data quality activities. The ideal candidate has experience working with GIS software, spatial datasets, and related technical tools, and can deliver accurate outputs in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Create, edit, and maintain geospatial datasets.
Perform map production and spatial analysis.
Conduct quality assurance and validation of GIS data.
Review imagery, parcel, and feature information.
Generate maps and reports for internal and client requirements.
Manage and organize spatial databases.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Support data annotation and geospatial-related projects.
Qualifications

? Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, Geodetic Engineering, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
? Proficiency in QGIS, ArcGIS, or other GIS software.
? Familiarity with shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML, and other spatial data formats.
? Understanding of coordinate systems and map projections.
? Experience with satellite imagery and map interpretation is an advantage.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
? High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
? Good written and verbal communication skills.
? Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills
Experience with Python for GIS automation.
Knowledge of PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
Experience in remote sensing or image interpretation.
Background in data annotation and quality control.
Basic video editing and content creation skills are a plus.
