*About the Role*
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Driver Coordinator to manage the day-to-day coordination of our delivery drivers and ensure smooth transport operations. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact between drivers, operations, customers, and management to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
*Key Responsibilities*
- Coordinate daily driver schedules, vehicle allocations, and delivery runs.
- Monitor driver attendance, clock-ins, and shift compliance.
- Provide real-time operational support to drivers throughout the day
- Monitoring failed jobs
- Preparing operational reports
- Manage route changes, delays, failed deliveries, and emergency situations.
- Liaise with customers regarding delivery updates, reschedules, and operational issues.
- Ensure all Proof of Delivery (POD), delivery notes, and required documentation are completed accurately.
- Record and investigate delivery i ---------- , customer complaints, damages, and operational issues.
- Coordinate vehicle breakdowns, maintenance bookings, and replacement vehicles where required.
- Maintain accurate operational records and prepare daily reports.
- Assist with onboarding and training new drivers.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in transport, logistics, or fleet operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
*Desirable*
- Experience with last-mile delivery operations.
- Knowledge of NHVR regulations and Chain of Responsibility.
- Understanding of fatigue management requirements.
- Experience using Connecteam + Fleet management tools
