Contract PLPC (Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor)

Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) to join our growing behavioral health practice. The ideal candidate is committed to providing high-quality, client-centered mental health services while working collaboratively in a supportive environment. This contract position offers flexibility and the opportunity to build a thriving caseload.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, couples, and/or group therapy.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Collaborate with clinical supervisors and other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and ethical guidelines.
  • Participate in required supervision to meet state licensing requirements.

Qualifications

  • Active Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) license in Louisiana.
  • Master’s degree in Counseling or a related mental health field.
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
  • Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
  • Professional liability insurance required.
