About the Role

Who we are:
We're Obvira ( ---------- ), a fast-growing family wellness brand helping parents soothe their babies. We run direct-response video ads on Facebook & Instagram, we test creative every week, and we're building a small in-house creative team. You'd work directly with the founder - no agency layers, no bureaucracy.

Why this role is different:
Most editing gigs treat you like a pair of hands: "cut this, add captions, done." Not here. We're looking for our future lead editor - someone who wants to understand why an ad converts, not just how to cut it. We will train you on the marketing psychology behind our ads (customer desires, hooks, storytelling for direct response) and pay for that training. Your edits go live on real ad spend, and you'll see the performance data on your own work every week. When your ads win, you'll know it - and you'll grow with the results.

How the role works:

  • Part-time start: $550–$850/month (~20 hrs/week) | roughly 3-4 batches per week
  • Full-time (after 60–90 day review): $1,000–$1,500/month (~40 hrs/week) |6-8 batches per week

Note - Each batch = 1 finished body + 3-5 hook variations

What you'll do:

  • Edit direct-response video ads for Meta (UGC-style, dynamic edits, 15–60s)
  • Cut multiple hook variations per concept for testing
  • Read scripts/briefs strategically and choose footage that amplifies the emotion, not just matches the words
  • Iterate based on real performance data - winners get variations, losers teach us
  • Use AI tools (ElevenLabs, Heygen, Higgsfield, Gemini) - we'll train you on our stack

You should be:

  • Fluent in English
  • Experienced editing Meta/TikTok ad creatives (portfolio required)
  • Skilled in Premiere Pro, CapCut, or After Effects
  • Fluent in social-first fundamentals: hooks, pacing, retention, aspect ratios
  • Independent, deadline-reliable, and hungry to grow into a creative partner

Bonus points:

  • AI video/animation experience · motion graphics · you've edited ads that actually scaled

Compensation & perks:

  • $550–$850/month to start (based on skill), reviewed at the full-time transition after 60–90 day review: $1,000–$1,500/month
