Virtual Learning Coach, Teacher & Mentor for a 9-Year-Old Girl
We are looking for a kind, dependable, Christian virtual learning coach to build a long-term relationship with our 9-year-old daughter who is entering 4th grade.
This is not a traditional tutoring position. We are looking for someone who can help provide daily structure, accountability, encouragement, and guidance while assisting with homeschooling, chores, life skills, and personal development.
Our goal is to find a trusted mentor, encourager, and positive influence who can help our daughter grow academically, spiritually, and personally.
Start Date: August 12
Schedule
Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 1:00 PM Central Time (USA)
Paid breaks included
Approximately 25 hours per week
Long-term position preferred
Tech Requirements
Reliable high-speed internet (stable enough for uninterrupted video calls)
Working webcam and microphone
Quiet, private space free from background distractions during sessions
A computer or laptop (not just a phone/tablet) capable of running Zoom and basic office/document software
Comfortable navigating Zoom (screen share, breakout tools, etc.)
Responsibilities
Meet with our daughter daily through Zoom
Help her follow her daily schedule
Ensure school assignments are completed
Assist with reading and comprehension
Help her complete daily chores and responsibilities
Teach organization and time management skills
Encourage independence and accountability
Practice typing and computer skills
Help develop communication and public speaking skills
Review Bible memory and Christian character development
Teach age-appropriate life skills
Provide a short daily report to parents
Ideal Candidate
Strong English skills
Patient, positive, and encouraging
Experience working with children ages 8–12
Teaching, tutoring, homeschooling, childcare, or mentoring experience preferred
Organized and dependable
Comfortable leading Zoom sessions
Christian values strongly preferred
Able to build trust and connection with a child
