Video Editor Needed for Cinematic Storytelling Channel

I'm looking for a talented and creative video editor to join me as I grow my YouTube channel focused on real-life stories of perseverance, survival, courage, and triumph.

I record my videos on an iPhone using a DJI Wireless Microphone and will provide the raw footage. Your role will be to transform that footage into a cinematic, emotionally engaging story that captivates viewers from the opening scene to the final frame.

What I'm Looking For

I'm aiming for a cinematic storytelling style inspired by the pacing, editing, and viewer engagement found in Mr. Ballen's videos. I'm not looking to copy his content, but I do want a similar level of quality, suspense, and storytelling through editing.

The ideal editor should be able to:

• Edit talking-head footage into a compelling, fast-paced story.
• Add relevant B-roll, stock footage, photos, maps, graphics, and subtle motion effects.
• Use zooms, cuts, transitions, and visual emphasis to maintain audience attention.
• Incorporate music and sound effects that enhance emotion without distracting from the story.
• Perform basic color correction and audio cleanup to ensure professional quality.
• Create engaging on-screen text, captions, and visual callouts when appropriate.
• Deliver videos that are polished, cinematic, and optimized for YouTube.

• Raw talking-head footage
• Complete story scripts provided

English Proficiency

Strong spoken English skills are essential. Since these videos rely heavily on storytelling, pacing, and emotional delivery, it's important that you fully understand the nuances of the English language and can edit accordingly.

Previous Experience Required
