InDesign Expert / Editorial Layout Designer (Casual, Remote)

We're looking for an experienced Adobe InDesign expert who loves typesetting and layout of long-form publications and takes real pride in producing clean, contemporary layouts. The types of documents you'll work on include workbooks, annual reports, research reports & whitepapers, lead magnets and eBooks.

You must possess the following skills in InDesign:

• Typeset and lay out documents using supplied InDesign templates and established brand styles
• Apply and maintain paragraph, character, object, and table styles
• Use master pages to create consistent, efficient document layouts
• Correctly place and manage linked assets
• Organise files using layers
• Create and maintain automated Tables of Contents
• Set up, test, and troubleshoot hyperlinks
• Manually resolve formatting issues such as widows, orphans, overset text, and inconsistent spacing.
• Prepare files for both digital distribution and professional commercial printing.
• Maintain organised version control and efficiently manage revisions.

Bonus Skills:

• Confidence in using Adobe Illustrator for creating tables, diagrams, charts, and infographics
• Knowledge in using Adobe Acrobat to prepare accessible PDFs
