JOB OVERVIEW
The Lavender Agency is a marketing strategy firm working with fashion, beauty, wellness, and lifestyle brands. We are hiring a Marketing Operations Manager to own the day-to-day execution engine across our client roster.
Read this part carefully, because it is the whole job.
We are not looking for an assistant. We are looking for the person who makes sure nothing is dropped — not by being told what to track, but by building the system that tracks it. If you walk into a disorganized process, your instinct should be to fix it, not to ask where the organized version is. There isn't one. You're it.
This starts part-time at 20 hours per week and grows to full-time based on performance.
WHAT THIS ROLE ACTUALLY REQUIRES
Ownership. When something falls through the cracks, it is yours. We do not want explanations of what went wrong; we want the fix, and the change to the process that prevents it from recurring.
Self-direction. When you hit something you do not know, you try first. You look it up, you check the doc, you test it, you form a point of view. Then, if you still need us, you come with a proposed answer rather than an open question. Questions are welcome. Questions in place of effort are not.
Systems creation. You will not inherit a perfect operation. You will be handed real gaps and expected to close them — build the tracker, write the SOP, create the checklist, and then follow it.
Precision. Content gets published and tagged correctly the first time. Process steps get completed, not mostly completed. If you are the kind of person who finds your own mistakes before anyone else does, you will do well here.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing execution
- Schedule and publish social content across platforms — accurately tagged, correctly formatted, on time
- Support engagement on LinkedIn and Instagram
- Schedule newsletters and marketing email s
- Upload blog and website content, including product and content updates in Shopify
- Request and respond to online reviews
- Quality-check your own work before it ships. Publishing errors are the failure mode we are most trying to eliminate.
Project management and operations
- Own ClickUp — tasks, timelines, statuses, assignments
- Drive deadlines across a team of designers, developers, media buyers, and SEO
- Chase what is missing before it becomes a problem, and escalate early rather than late
- Build and maintain marketing calendars, recurring workflows, and SOPs
- Create the operational structure this agency needs as it grows
Team and administrative support
- Prepare daily briefs outlining priorities and action items
- Capture meeting notes and convert them into tracked, owned tasks
- Run client onboarding workflows end to end
- Maintain organized folders, documents, and internal systems
REQUIRED
- Shopify experience — product uploads, page and content updates, basic backend navigation
- Demonstrated project management experience coordinating multiple people and deadlines
- Experience building a process or system from scratch, not just maintaining one
- ClickUp, Asana, Monday, or similar PM platform
- Google Workspace
- Social scheduling and email marketing platforms
- Excellent written English
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
PREFERRED
- Agency experience, or supporting a founder or executive directly
- Fashion, beauty, wellness, or lifestyle brand experience
- SEO, paid media, or web development coordination exposure
- ChatGPT and AI workflow tools
- Notion, Typeform, Zapier
WHO THIS IS NOT FOR
- Someone who waits to be assigned work
- Someone who asks before attempting
- Someone who needs the system to already exist
- Someone who considers a task complete when the last step is skipped
If any of those describe you honestly, this role will frustrate both of us.
HOURS AND AVAILABILITY
Our team operates between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM US Eastern Time (8:00 PM to 7:00 AM Philippine Time). Your schedule within that window is flexible — we care about output, not clock-watching — but your working hours must fall inside it. We coordinate closely across design, development, and media, and that only works when we overlap. Please only apply if you can reliably work this schedule.
THE PATH
Part-time at 20 hours per week, growing to full-time at 40 hours per week based on performance. Performance-based rate increases available. We promote from inside.
TO APPLY, SEND:
1. Your resume
2. Your Shopify experience, specifically — what have you built or managed in it?
3. A process or system you built from scratch. What was broken, what did you build, what changed?
4. Answer this: You are mid-task and hit something you do not know how to do. What are the first three things you do before asking someone for help?
5. The word "Lavender" somewhere in your application, so we know you read the full posting
Applications that skip questions 3 or 4 will not be reviewed.
