Talent Acquisition Specialist | Long-Term Leadership Opportunity
We are looking for someone who can help us find, screen, assess, and present top remote professionals for a variety of business roles, including administrative, customer support, sales support, marketing, operations, finance, bookkeeping, technical, and specialist positions.
The right person is highly organized, sharp, proactive, and able to identify true A-player talent — not just people who look good on paper.
We are looking for someone who can eventually become a key person in our recruiting operations. If you are someone who takes ownership, improves systems, communicates clearly, and cares deeply about hiring quality, this could become a long-term leadership opportunity.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Source high-quality candidates across job boards, social media, LinkedIn, databases, referrals, and other talent channels
- Review applications, resumes, profiles, and candidate responses with strong attention to detail
- Screen applicants for experience, communication skills, reliability, professionalism, role fit, and long-term potential
- Conduct initial interviews and ask thoughtful follow-up questions
- Assess candidate quality beyond keywords and surface-level resume matching
- Write clear, concise, and useful candidate summaries and recommendations
- Maintain accurate candidate records, pipeline updates, tags, notes, and statuses
- Coordinate interviews, follow-ups, candidate updates, and next steps
- Build strong talent pipelines for current and future roles
- Identify red flags early and protect the quality of the hiring process
- Help improve recruiting workflows, templates, screening questions, scorecards, and systems
- Work with leadership to understand hiring priorities and provide useful recruiting insights
Requirements
- We are not looking for an average recruiter. We are looking for someone who operates with ownership, urgency, and strong judgment.
You must have:
- Proven experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, sourcing, HR, or candidate screening
- Strong ability to identify high-quality candidates beyond simply matching keywords on a resume
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and confidently
- Strong interview judgment and the ability to assess communication skills, professionalism, reliability, culture fit, and long-term potential
- A high level of attention to detail when reviewing resumes, applications, profiles, and candidate responses
- Ability to write clear, concise, and useful candidate summaries for leadership
- Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple roles, candidates, follow-ups, and deadlines at the same time
- Fast response time and strong follow-through without needing constant reminders
- Comfort working with targets, scorecards, hiring standards, and recruiting KPIs
- Experience using job boards, LinkedIn, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, ATS platforms, or similar recruiting tools
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and improve processes instead of only waiting for instructions
- Strong sense of accountability, professionalism, and urgency
- Reliable internet connection and remote work setup
- Availability for consistent overlap with Eastern Time business hours
You Will Stand Out If You Have
- Experience recruiting remote professionals for North American companies
- Experience hiring for multiple role types, such as admin, customer support, sales support, marketing, operations, finance, bookkeeping, or technical roles
- Experience using ATS platforms
- Experience with Manatal is an asset
- Experience creating or using candidate scorecards
- Experience building talent pipelines, not just filling open roles
- Experience improving recruiting workflows, templates, interview questions, or screening systems
- Previous leadership experience or clear potential to eventually manage recruiters
- Strong business judgment and the ability to understand what a company actually needs, not just what a job description says
This Role Is Not For You If
- You only screen candidates by checking whether their resume matches the job description
- You need constant reminders to follow up
- You send generic candidate notes without real insight
- You are uncomfortable asking detailed interview questions
- You avoid accountability or move slowly
- You are not confident communicating in English
- You prefer task-based work and do not want to grow into a bigger role
